Two winners already for Week 12...
Eller put $100 on the Steelers (-10.5)
Strait put $210 on the Steelers (-10.5)
Now...this has brought up a question, since this is the first time we've had winners on Thursday night. The question is: "If you win $ on Thursday, can you then take that $ and apply it to a Sunday/Monday game?"
The answer to that question the way we have the rules now is no. The money you have is available for that week, money you win is available to use the next week. Theoretically, if we allowed Thursday winnings to be bet on Sunday/Monday games, it's intraweek betting...so, then winnings from 1:00 Sunday games could be bet on later Sunday games, or Sunday winnings could be placed on the Monday night game. That is probably more administrative work than I can handle.
I'm certainly open to other opinions though, if you disagree with my assessment and think we could adjust the rules going forward.

It's week to week. Might as well do in-game, live betting if you are going to do all that. Let's just keep it week to week. Additionally, seeing these Steelers bets probably affects the way we will all place picks this weekend. So, I would say we keep all picks private until everyone's picks are submitted.
ReplyDeleteagree with Shade and Blake... on both issues brought forth.
ReplyDeleteSomething I would like to see added to the website is a Blog Post every Tuesday with the updated leaderboard. Having the sidebar leaderboard is great, but what if I want to look back at week 11 next month to remember the FIRST time that Mobley and Furnas went 1-3.
It would also add a component of accountability in the unlikely even that Mike makes a mathematical error. I'll gladly take ownership of this commitee in an effort to keep Shade's load manageable.
Good points Eller, blog post leaderboards for historical purposes will be done.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need back up. I have a genius excel formula that does the math for me...but I'm the one who set up the formula. And I don't really trust myself. So please be the chairman.
