WEEK 17 RECAP

Let me first just start off by dishing out some respect to my friend Mobley. Mobley, you rode your Cowboys like a true fan - and I respect that. You went for broke and it didn't turn out, but I respect the aggressiveness.

And - I have good news for you...and for everyone here. No one is out of it. How can I say that, with just 4 weeks remaining? Look no further than our friend Eller.

Because it was exactly 4 weeks ago that Eller was dead. Really dead. I'm talking Rainforest dead. You know, like the rainforests people have cut down dead. You know what I'm saying. Eller was in DEAD last - with only $40 to his name, trailing the leader at the time by over $600.

And yet, four weeks later, here Eller sits in third place...only $100 off the pace, truly in contention. So what does that mean for all the contestants? Don't give up. It's not over. And as our collective winning percentages continue to fall, it's clear that the group is not getting any better at this gambling thing.

Now to the bad news - here are your biggest moves in the wrong direction for Week 17:
1. Mobley, -$640 (2-1-1)
2. Mills, -$500 (0-4)
3. Mansfield, -$270 (1-3)

DEADLINE FOR ALL PLAYOFF PICKS (Saturday and Sunday games) WILL BE 4 PM SATURDAY. Remember, from now on, you only have to make one bet per week. (The minimum bet is $10 per bet, but a minimum of $40 total for the week. So, if you choose to only bet one game, you're bet must be a minimum of $40 to receive the weekly $100 allowance.)
